Trump Considering A GOP Convention Before The Midterms

Hoping for even more momentum for next year's all important midterms, President Trump is considering a GOP -midterm- Convention. Something that has never happened before for the RNC.

"I think anything that generates excitement in the party is a good thing" said RNC Committeeman, Dr. Robin Armstrong, "This will be a way that we can tell people what the Republican Party has accomplished over the first two years of the Trump presidency, and I think it will help getting Republicans elected. So, I would be excited about it and in favor of it."

A great opportunity to fire up the base, and provide a boost before the elections.

"If we are able to excite our base, excite conservatives, if we're able to excite Republicans to get out and vote in these midterm elections, I think it's a good thing. I think it will be positive" Armstrong told KTRH.

And while Republicans have never had a midterm convention, Democrats have, but they stopped holding them in the mid 1980's. Now comes word that they are also considering having their own convention next year.
