Following the tragic death of three people in an accident involving an 18-wheeler driven by an illegal alien, Florida will begin using weigh stations as immigration checkpoints. This is part of their effort to back President Trump's illegal immigration crackdown.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier made the announcement at a press conference on Monday, saying, "There's no telling how many illegal aliens are driving large commercial vehicles and putting American families' safety at risk."

Uthmeier went on to call out blue sanctuary states that have been issuing these driver's licenses to illegal aliens, who often are not proficient at speaking English, let alone reading road signs that are written in English.

He also issued a stark warning to illegal immigrants, saying, "As a reminder, in Florida, you cannot obtain a driver's license if you are an illegal alien. And if you have obtained a license from one of these sanctuary states like California, Washington, or New Jersey, those licenses are no good here."

Former U.S. Marshal Robert Almonte is praising this plan from Florida and says they should use it to target other crimes as well as illegal immigration. He said, "There are a lot of things people that are manning these inspection stations should be looking for: drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and also human trafficking."

He pointed out that many of those crimes are carried out via 18-wheelers.
