The First Amendment Does Not Protect Media Matters From Breaking The Law

Despite President Trump's return to the White House, and his attempts to 'drain the swamp', the 'deep state' is still alive and well in Washington, and they're now helping a far-left advocacy group called 'Media Matters'.

Elon Musk and X filed a lawsuit against Media Matters, alleging that they led a sponsorship boycott against X after Musk bought it (and saved it in 2022).

"A group boycott can be an anti-trust violation, and so Elon and X have filed a big lawsuit in Texas about this against Media Matters" said James Burnham, managing partner at King Street Legal who wrote about the story for The Federalist.

Shortly after President Trump returned to the White House, the FTC launched an investigation into the case. But instead of co-operating, Media Matters went to a liberal D.C. judge and was able to temporarily halt it.

"They went to federal district court in D.C. and last week they persuaded a federal judge in Washington D.C. to issue an injunction against the FTC continuing with it's civil investigative demand" Burnham told KTRH.

So, now the case is on hold until the radical judge can be overwhelmed. And adding to left's long list of hypocrisy, Media Matters claims that the FTC investigation is politically biased.

"With the president, you see the offensive lawfare, and then here you have a left-wing organization that likely committed anti-trust violations, and the courts are saying not only can you not pursue it to the end, you can't even do an investigation because they're liberal and you've said bad things about them, and therefore you're biased. It's really unbelievable" noted Burnham.

Unbelievable, but true. And scary.
