Proving there is accountability for the powerful Mexican drug cartels, Mexican kingpin Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada Garcia plead guilty today in a New York, on charges of running a drug ring, that included drug trafficking, gun offenses and money laundering.
'El Mayo' was a former partner of drug lord El Chapo, and he co-founded the Sinaloa Cartel.
He accepted a plea that will keep him in prison for the rest of his life, after the death penalty was taken off the table.
AG Pam Bondi said it was "justice served."
