Midterm elections traditionally go against the party that is in power in the White House, but even the leftist New York Times says their new polling data shows that the Democrats could be in big trouble, next November.
"Republicans are out-registering the Democrats by a substantial margin in a lot of the key states" said Matt Towery, chairman at Insider Advantage Polling, "So, in that sense Republicans are on a roll."
And the Dems are not, which is why they have been fighting so hard across the country, to stop the new congressional maps here in Texas.
"Any kind of redistricting that can take place in any state, particularly in Texas will have an impact on the overall results in November" Towery told KTRH, "I do think there's an advantage right now for states like Texas making these changes, and it will certainly give Republicans an additional opportunity when we get to 2026."
But, before next year Towery says we should know more about where each party really stands, when both Virginia and New Jersey elect new Governors.
"It's all about turnout" noted Towery, which is something that the GOP is notorious for not doing, in non-presidential elections.
One other note, Republicans also currently hold a large advantage over Democrats in cash on hand, and fundraising.
