Another day, and another quorum break in The Texas House, due to the Texas House Democratic Caucus fleeing the State.
This time around they were 4 votes short of a quorum, with dozens of Democrats still on the run, fleeing to states like Illinois, California and New York.
Burrows reiterated again while addressing the chamber that he is working with Texas DPS to return fleeing members back to Austin. Some of the legislators will see 30% of their office's operating budgets frozen. They will also be forced to now collect their paychecks and periderm in person.
The House will reconvene tomorrow at 10am, and try again for another quorum.
In the meantime Governor Greg Abbott appeared on Fox News and said, "We will either find these missing Democrats over the course of this week and have votes on all of the very important matters, or at the end of this week, this current 30-day special session will be gaveled out, and the second after that happens I am going to be calling another special session."
