One Texas State Rep Blames Republicans for Texas Dem Walkout

House Republicans are hoping to take another quorum vote later today. But the runaway Texas Democrats are still out of state, and some are blaming House Republicans for allowing them to leave.

Republican State Rep. Brian Harrison spoke with KTRH and pointed out that the Texas House actually had a quorum last week, when they knew this was coming.

"We had the redistricting maps, we were in Austin, we were on the floor of the House, the Democrats were here and we had a quorum" Harrison said, while adding that the blame belongs to fellow Republican and House Speaker, Dustin Burrows.

"Our Republican RINO speaker, who was elected by the Democrats by the way, chose to gavel us out after only being on the floor :07 minutes" Harrison told KTRH.

Why was this allowed to happen? Because the Texas Dems wanted to meet with House minority leader, Hakeem Jeffries.

"Nobody has to take my word for it, you can literally watch the so-called Republican speaker of the Texas House release the Democrats over my objections, so they could go and scheme with Hakeem Jeffries last Wednesday" noted Harrison.

Which is exactly what they did, and then they eventually left Texas which is exactly what everyone said they were going to do.

The Texas DPS is trying to round up the runaway Democrats to bring them back to Austin, but Harrison says there needs to be more consequences for the Dems dereliction of duty.

We shall see.
