President Trump is calling for the people behind Russiagate to pay a price and he says former president Obama could be considered a “mastermind” of what he calls “the biggest scandal in the history of our country.”
The president spoke on Newsmax following the release of new information on the Obama administration’s handling of intelligence information about allegations of candidate, and then President-elect, Trump colluding with Russia. “They knew it was fake,” he said. “They knew the Russia thing was fake.”
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has released information that indicates the Obama White House distorted intelligence about Russia to sabotage the incoming Trump team. Newer revelations show that the administration may have hyped up accusations against Trump to distract from email security violations by Trump’s 2016 presidential opponent Hillary Clinton.
Trump says Attorney General Pam Bondi is now investigating the latest revelations and that criminal charges are possible "I think they should pay a price,” he told Newsmax. “By the way, it's a very big price.”
And Trump said the documents prove then-President Obama was in the thick of it. He knew about it. We have it cold,’ he said, “in writing. You could almost say that he was almost more of the mastermind. He heard what she was doing, and then he approved it — and not only approved it, he approved it and pushed it. And they knew it was fake. They knew the Russia thing was fake.”
