The clothing brand American Eagle, known primarily for its blue jeans, has launched a new advertising campaign featuring actress Sydney Sweeney. Sweeney, known for a number of starring roles, including Sony's Madame Web, has gained fame across social media and Hollywood for her looks.
This has resulted in a number of highly successful ad campaigns, including a recent partnership with the hygiene company Dr. Squatch. They're known for their shampoos and deodorant, and a recent ad campaign featuring Sweeney resulted in a massive spike in popularity and the company being sold for over a billion dollars.
Apparently, American Eagle wanted to get in on that action and featured Sweeney in a massive ad campaign with the tagline "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans." A play on words, meant to reference her "genes," which she credits for her attractiveness.
That tagline has resulted in outrage from leftists, who are calling it racist and fascist. One leftist took to TikTok and blasted the ad, saying, "A blonde, blue-eyed white woman talking about her 'good genes.' That is Nazi propaganda."
Now radio host and commentator Kenny Webster, host of Kenny Webster's Pursuit of Happiness and co-host of the Walton and Johnson Show, is warning that this outrage from leftists is only going to make it harder for the Democrats to win votes.
He said, "That's not going to move the needle with independents; it's not going to move the needle with people in the middle. They're pandering to a group of people right now that are making them look crazy."
Webster went on to say this is another example of how the Democrats are losing their grip on voters in the middle. He explained, "There's one group of people that's motivated right now, and they're the type of people that are offended by the mere presence of an attractive blonde woman." He says because those are the people who are politically motivated too, those are the people Democrats are forced to pander to for votes.
