The Left Is Crying Over Texas' Reading Materials In Bluebonnet Curriculum

With the new school year in Texas about to start, the left along with the liberal media are crying out over the new Texas state created Bluebonnet Curriculum, because it contains Bible verses.

"I know there has been some controversy discussed with the curriculum" said Melissa Semmler who is a trustee on the Conroe Board of Trustees, "Ideologies don't teach reading, reading teaches reading, just doing it repeatedly. Strong teachers, not all these ideologies."

Conroe ISD is one of the districts in Texas that plans to implement part of the Bluebonnet Curriculum starting next month. The goal is to help students improve, not indoctrinate them like the left has done for far too many years.

"We have adopted it because our primary goal is to ensure that we have students who have a strong high level of literacy" Semmler told KTRH, "And we believe this curriculum can do that. The primary issue is, is this curriculum going to turn our students into better readers. We think that it will."

Fort Bend ISD is 'sampling' part of the Bluebonnet Curriculum, but at the moment, HISD and Katy ISD are not using it.
