The latest report from the Federal Reserve of Dallas shows Texas with one of the strongest manufacturing performances in the nation.
Activity was up for the month of July to a three-year high, beating the expectations of many analysts, who had expected a far weaker month.
Texas Association of Business President and CEO Glen Hamer says the diversity of the state's manufacturing sector is surprisingly strong in automobiles, electronics, energy and lots more.
"It just reinforces that Texas is the jobs juggernaut of America," he says.
"And that's doubly so when it comes to advanced manufacturing."
The state is, "month after month, year after year, outperforming the nation in the industries of tomorrow like space, semiconductors and now AI."
What you may not have known is that Texas is the most diverse economy in America.
"No sector represents more than ten-percent, so health care is strong, finance is strong, energy, obviously, remains strong," Hamer adds.
