Colony Ridge Continues To Grow Despite Pushback

Despite years of negative headlines and political pushback, Colony Ridge, the development north of Houston that some say is designed to attract illegal alien home buyers, is still growing. It may even have gotten worse in recent months, despite immigration crackdowns.

Now, journalists who visit the development are sounding the alarm about the conditions there. Ben Bergquam with Real America's Voice recently toured the development and said, "It feels very unsafe. I didn't see law enforcement while I was out there at all. The people you do see, the interactions you do have, they're very questionable."

He documented his drive through the development in a video now posted to X, which features several shots of dilapidated and half-constructed homes, as well as multiple attempts to speak with residents, who all said they didn't speak any English.

Bergquam likened being there to being in a third-world country, saying, "It makes you wonder, 'Okay, what does this mean for the long-term future of our country?' Do we have assimilation standards? Do we have building standards? What else is going on?"

He also said that residents seem to be hesitant to talk to him, not just because they couldn't speak English, but also because of fear. He suggested that criminal cartels could still be deeply embedded in and controlling the Colony Ridge residents and community.
