Teachers Unions Expose Themselves As Radical Leftists

The National Education Association, the nation's largest teachers' union, held its annual convention in Portland, Oregon, recently, and they wasted no time in exposing themselves as radical woke leftists.

One of the most telling moments of the convention was when the NEA Teacher of the Year spoke and revealed that she always believed her job was "deeply political." Ashlie Crosson also made the statement that she could "no longer stay on the sidelines" politically.

Corey DeAngelis with the American Culture Project says this is the perfect example of everything that's wrong with the teachers' unions and public schools. He said, "Schools are supposed to focus on math, reading, and writing. They can't even get that right, yet they feel the need to inject their politics into the classroom."

DeAngelis also spoke out about some of the resolutions the NEA passed at the convention, including one that, he says, will direct huge sums of money toward promoting the idea that President Donald Trump is a fascist.

The real kicker there is, according to DeAngelis, the union misspelled the word "fascism" in the resolution. He said, "You almost can't make this stuff up. The union that supposedly represents a bunch of educators can't even spell 'fascism' correctly."

The good news is, DeAngelis believes parents are finally starting to wake up to how woke these teachers' unions are, and he says they're pushing back. According to him, "We've seen so many families start to vote with their feet, going to schools that do align with their values, whether it's a homeschool, private school, or a charter school."

He says even teachers who are tired of seeing their unions push wokeism can push back by simply not joining the union and looking for cheaper liability insurance options. DeAngelis also called for Congress to act by revoking the NEA's federal charter.
