Shooter Killed In Attempted Border Patrol Ambush

According to reports, an active shooter in McAllen, Texas, has been killed in what appears to be an attempted ambush of Border Patrol agents.

The shooter was reportedly wearing tactical gear and armed with a rifle. He opened fire on agents arriving at a Border Patrol annex facility.

Agents and local police returned fire, killing the shooter. Two McAllen officers where struck, and according to the Department of Homeland Security, so was one Border Patrol agent.
