The search and rescue recovery in the Texas Hill Country hit another speed bump on Monday night.
A helicopter aiding in searching the flooded area near Kerrville collided with a privately operated drone, causing the helicopter to make an emergency landing. The Kerr County Sheriff's Office says the drone entered restricted airspace, and that now leaves them without a critical piece of equipment in their operations.
No one was injured in the incident. Authorities have asked all drone activity int he area to stop until search and rescue operations are complete.
The death toll from the flooding has surpassed 100 people, with dozens still missing.
