Not only is Elon Musk criticizing President Trump again over the 'Big, Beautiful Bill', the richest man in the world is now also threatening to start a new political party.
"Elon's definitely got the cash for it" said Jacob Lane, Republican strategist and Newsmax contributor, "But, it's really a heck of a lot easier if Elon were to just fund primary challengers, than start a whole new party. Third parties in this country have not been very successful. We have a few that currently exist in our country, and none of those have been successful."
There's the Libertarian Party, The Green & Constitution Party, and back in 1992 Ross Perot tried with the Reform Party. They get a lot of play, but not a lot of traction.
So should we take Elon Musk's latest threat seriously?
"Well, I would tell Elon it's a lot easier said than done" Lane told KTRH, "To be honest, I would not take it seriously, just because it's so hard to do. Look, you're talking about 50 different state laws that you have to deal with."
In the meantime, we get to deal with another round between Trump and Elon.
