ICE Official: June Illegals Far, Far Fewer Than Under Biden

The people encountered by federal Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) along the US border were so low for the entire month of June, the number was just 6,070, about half the would-be illegal immigrants typically seen in just one day during the Biden administration, an official says.

"As a matter of fact, the total number of encounters is less than half of a single day under Biden on most days," US border czar Tom Homan said on Tuesday.

And "none of the 6,070 were released into the US. ZERO," he added.

"President Trump has created the most secure border in the history of the nation and the data prove it. We have never seen numbers this low. Never."

"God bless the men and women of the US Border Patrol and God bless the men and women of ICE," he said.

"The interior arrests and consequences help drive down illegal immigration.

"The TRUMP EFFECT keeps America winning," Mr.Homan wrote in a statement.

In addition, US Senator from Texas John Cornyn also said on Tuesday that a provision he added to the Big Beautiful Bill includes reimbursement by the federal government for the money spent by the state to help enforce border laws the past four years, which is usually a job for the federal government but was neglected by the Biden administration.

Congress is working to pass the bill by Independence Day this Friday, and Sen. Cornyn says his provision has survived any attempts to remove it.
