The Trump administration is racking up major progress in catching illegal aliens. The latest reports indicate the number of illegals caught by ICE has doubled since 2024 to more than 660 a day.
In Texas alone, the Deportation Data Project at the University of California, Berkeley reports ICE has made more than 20,000 arrests since January. Trump Border Czar Tom Homan declared the process is simple “Enforcing the law,” he said on Newsmax, “Which the Biden administration refused to do. The law says ‘if you come to our border without the proper documentation, you shall be detained.’ Not ‘maybe’. Not ‘release you to an NGO.’ Not ‘put you in a hotel room for $500 a night.’ President Trump is enforcing the law and you see the difference.”
The Deportation Data Project at the university of California says the most progress in catching illegals has happened in Republican dominated states that are friendliest to Trump policies, although the numbers also picked up in states that already have large immigrant populations like New York and California.
