In what was the least shocking pick of the last few years, the Dallas Mavericks selected Duke guard Cooper Flagg No. 1 overall in the NBA Draft on Wednesday night.
Flagg was the unanimous top player in the draft, after a standout freshman season at Duke. He averaged 19 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and 4 assists per game in his lone season with the Blue Devils.
The Mavericks won the NBA Draft Lottery earlier this year, with a less than two-percent chance to land the top pick.
