Qatari officials announce that an Iranian attack on the U.S. Al Udeid Air base has been thwarted. According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Defense, all missiles where successfully intercepted, and no injuries where reported.

Cellphone footage from Qatar appears to show air defense systems intercepting the missiles that Iran launched.

Qatar's airspace was closed earlier following reports that an Iranian attack on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar could be imminent.

The base is home to around 10,000 U.S. military personnel, and is less than 200 miles from the Iranian border.

The Pentagon says they are not aware of any U.S. casualties at this time.
