fter four years of open borders under former President Joe Biden and the escalating conflict between the United States and Iran, fears of terror attacks inside the United States are on the rise. There has already been at least one incident in the United States since Saturday.

According to reports, chaos broke out at a small church outside of Detroit, Michigan, when a gunman opened fire, injuring one person before being subdued by a security guard. While the motivation for the attack is unclear at the time of publishing, the incident does raise concerns about the potential for broader action by Iranian-backed terrorists who may already be inside the United States.

This has led to Governor Greg Abbott ordering increased patrols around potential "high-risk" targets here in Texas. But what exactly constitutes a "high-risk target"?

According to former FBI Assistant Deputy Director Danny Coulson, it could be any number of things. He said, "They pick grocery stores, they pick shopping centers, they pick movie theaters. Wherever they have a lot of people that they hope are unarmed and few policemen."

He went on to point out the importance of exercising Second Amendment rights for personal safety in times like this. He said, "If you're gonna be armed, prepare yourself. If you're gonna have a pistol, go to the range, take some courses. Learn how to defend yourself and place your shots so you can hit what you're shooting at and not hit innocent people."

He also stressed that, if possible, one should remove themselves from a violent situation rather than intervening immediately.

Coulson also warned that public schools could be a potential target, saying, "That's our most prized possession, our children. That's why it's so important that we protect our schools through both structure and armed policemen."
