After holding another high level national security meeting, president Donald Trump left the White House without speaking with reporters. But when he landed in New Jersey, and ended up taking several questions.
When asked about making a decision on Iran within two weeks, president Trump said, "I'm giving them (Iran) a period of time, and I would say that two weeks would be the maximum." The president also made it clear he has no interest in getting U.S. ground troops involved.
Trump was then asked what intelligence supports his claim that Iran is close to building a nuclear weapon, Trump told reporters: "Well, then my intelligence community is wrong. But when the intelligence community said that, your Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, she’s wrong.”
In addition to Iran, Trump also said he does not believe Israel is capable of eliminating all of Iran's nuclear capabilities on their own. And when asked about ICE, Trump reiterated that the the focus is on removing the criminal illegals, but he did hint at a possible agreement in the works that would allow farmers to vouch for any of their workers that are here illegally.
