In addition to all of the work on president Trump's Big, beautiful bill, Republicans in Congress are also trying to pass legislation that would finally end sanctuary cities and states.
And many conservatives say, it's about time.
"I think this is the time to do it when we're seeing so much chaos in the blue cities" said political writer Susan Quinn, "Republicans need to finally step up and say the time has come. We've put up with sanctuary cities and states for way, way too long."
With the GOP in control again of the Executive Branch and the Legislative Branch, the hope is that the current bills will both make it through in the House and the Senate.
"It's just really disappointing that our own population does not see that these people can be dangerous" noted Quinn, "We've had enough disappointments from Congress, and I'm hoping they see this as an opportunity to make a statement."
It's long overdue.
