Turns out, the issue of RINO Republicans that we have seen in the Texas House is actually a national issue. A new study shows that many elected Republicans are more left-leaning than their voters.

The study, conducted by the Institute for Legislative Analysis, created a list of 22 elected Republicans across the country who all received an "F" grade when it came to their alignment with their voters. Not surprisingly, Mitch McConnell was among those who received an F.

So how did we get to a point where so many Republicans feel they can simply ignore their voters? The short answer is, because they've already gotten away with it for so long. Political strategist Nick Lindquist explained, "The Republican is gonna win regardless, depending on what the district is, so they don't feel the need to govern in the way that they were elected."

He explained that many of these long-time left-leaning RINO Republicans are able to sail through the primaries on the backs of their name recognition and deep campaign war chests. Then, straight ticket voting allows them to sail through the general election as well.

In many states, these RINOs are able to win reelection without voters even reading their names, thanks to straight ticket voting systems. Lindquist explained how straight ticket voting works: "You can check one box, and that will automatically have you vote for every candidate in the party that you want."

The good news is, this means that there is a simple solution to this problem. Lindquist says the solution is for strong conservatives to get more involved in the primaries and spend more time researching candidates and their voting records.
