Despite all of the economic doom and gloom from the mainstream media, very quietly president Donald Trump just keeps winning on inflation. And the numbers don't lie.
"Month after month we've gotten very good inflation reports this year" said economist, EJ Antoni, "And now those people have egg on their face, just like they did under Biden. They were wrong then, they are wrong now."
But Trump was right, and now the winning is happening across the board.
"We've seen energy prices not just stop rising, but actually come down" Antoni told KTRH, "But overall, what we've really seen from most consumer staples has been that the increases have stopped."
And that means no more inflation in the future. Unfortunately, Antoni says don't expect anything to change with The Fed.
"All of the indicators are more in favor of an interest rate cut today, than they were in the fall of last year right before the election, and that's when The Fed cut rates in order to try and get their preferred candidate across the finish line" noted Antoni, "I don't know how you can look at that, and say it's anything but political."
The Federal Reserve will wrap-up their June meeting later today.
