Texas DPS has made an arrest in connection to the threat against lawmakers that led to the evacuation of the Texas Capitol Saturday.

The arrest was made after a traffic stop in La Grange. DPS no longer considers the threat active.

This comes after two Minnesota lawmakers being attacked by a suspect dressed as a police officer. Former Speaker and Minnesota State Sen. Melissa Hortman and her husband were shot and killed, and Sen. John Hoffman and his spouse are in critical condition. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said it was a “politically motivated assassination.”
