Texas Activates National Guard Ahead Of Planned Protests In San Antonio

As protests over ICE deportations continue around the country, no major issues were reported in Texas on Wednesday evening.

A major protest that was scheduled in San Antonio this evening saw hundreds gather and march through the street, but there were no incidents of vandalism or rioting. Texas DPS was on patrol int he area near the Alama. Governor Greg Abbott also deployed National Guard troops there earlier to combat any unrest.

No injuries were reported. There were two people detained.

Other protests continued around the country on Wednesday, including in Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Washington D.C.
