As violent anti-ICE riots continue across the city of Los Angeles, California Governor Gavin Newsom seems to be doing everything he can to help the chaos continue, filing multiple lawsuits to prevent the Trump Administration from responding to the crisis.

Yesterday, the state of California filed a lawsuit against the administration after the California National Guard was federalized and deployed to LA to protect federal buildings and personnel. The lawsuit alleges that the move was unlawful because Trump circumvented Governor Newsom.

The lawsuit also calls the deployment an "unprecedented power grab," despite similar actions having been taken by then President George H.W. Bush during the 1992 Rodney King riots.

Governor Newsom also recently announced on Twitter that he has filed an emergency motion to block President Trump's deployment of around 700 Marines to Los Angeles in support of the National Guard and other federal law enforcement in the area.
