As the riots continue in L.A., there are more protests planned for this weekend across the country. And some say maybe it's time for president Trump to let these liberal cities burn.
"I think you can make that argument on some level, but I also think if he were to just let them burn, that puts law enforcement, federal law enforcement and ICE agents in danger, and we can't do that" said Bonchie, writer for Red State, "And then two, I think it would make him look weak."
Something that has happened before, and that we've seen before.
"I don't think it's controversial to say that he (Trump) acted a little too late during the 2020 riots" Bonchie told KTRH, "I think that's something that a lot of even the biggest Trump supporters have admitted."
And as for what we should expect for the protests planned for this weekend?
"I think it could get ugly, I wouldn't think it would be in Houston" noted Bonchie, "You might see some out of hand protests in a place like Austin maybe, but I think you're still going to be looking at the major blue cities."
At least a half dozen 'No King's' protests have been scheduled for Saturday here in Houston.
