Despite all of the wins for religious freedom in the Texas legislature, the Texas Supreme Court is going to decide whether or not that freedom applies to state judges as well.
Like, McClennan County Justice of the Peace Diane Hensley, who has been targeted for refusing to officiate same-sex weddings.
"But she's not the only one that's had to deal with these issues" said Jonathan Saenz, president and attorney for Texas Values, "Many people in the LGBTQ community, that's how they are. They want to punish Christians, and they want it to be hard for Christians to work."
It's a spiritual issue, and basically they want Christians to bend a knee. There are dozens of options to perform same-sex weddings, but the radical left chooses to target the two or three that don't want to do it because of their faith.
"There's no reason why judges, particularly those that feel like it's a violation of their conscience, that they individually should be forced to do it when there are plenty of other options" Sanez told KTRH, "So, I think this is an easy case for the Texas Supreme Court to sort out."
To sort out, and settle once and for all. The start date for the case has not yet been announced.
