June has arrived, and that means it's time for the U.S. Supreme Court to hand down it's decisions.
And just like over the last few years, there are going to be some really big, and meaningful decisions ruled on by SCOTUS.
"Absolutely, the Supreme Court's going to finish by the end of the month, so we're going to get them all in pretty short order" said Carrie Severino, president of the Judicial Crisis Network, and a former clerk under Justice Clarence Thomas, "I think we have some major cases."
Topping the list would be gender procedures for minors, birthright citizenship, and sex and gender issues in public school libraries. All major cases for SCOTUS.
"Dealing with major social issues that are going on in the country right now" Severino told KTRH, "We have important cases coming out on parental rights as well, and there's also a case coming out of Texas dealing with how the state tries to ensure that children aren't being exposed to online pornography." That would be the age verification for porn websites, which Texas has passed into law.
The other big issue to be decided will be how much the Supreme Court reins in lower courts authority, and their constant use of injunctions to try and stop president Trump, and the will of the people.
But as we've seen, even with a 6-3 conservative advantage, the U.S. Supreme Court doesn't always rule the way conservatives want them to.
