President Trump Still Likes "Big Beautiful Bill" Despite Musk Remarks

President Donald Trump says he's still loyal to his "big beautiful" budget bill that's winding its way through Congress, despite criticisms from Elon Musk.

The bill was passed by the US House of Representatives in late May, but has been bogged down in the Senate with attempted re-writes, amendments and some minor changes.

The former head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk recently stepped aside and has been working with projects such as SpaceX and the X social media platform. He "took a few moments on Tuesday to call the bill a "massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill [that is] is a disgusting abomination."

Musk added in a post on X. "Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."

The bill includes trillion-dollar tax breaks but also allows the US government to borrow more money, which may not be to Musk's DOGE liking.

Musk left DOGE last week after working for more than four months to uncover government corruption, Trump administration officials said.
