Are Republicans About To Repeat Mistakes Of The First Trump Administration?

After making it through the House by 1 vote, president Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill' is facing another battle in the Senate between moderate Republicans and conservatives.

"I would be almost certain that they will end up passing a bill" said Todd Sheets, economic historian and writer of the Substack newsletter on wealth and progress, "I just think there's too much vested interest from both sides at this point, to have this fail."

Other experts though are warning that this is similar to 2017 when Trump tried unsuccessfully to pass a health care law.

"I think there is a good chance that some of the Senate Republicans will put up a strong fight on the spending issues, and see if they can move the spending side of the equation back towards where it needs to get to, but I think in the end everybody will end up coming together and passing something" Sheets told KTRH.

There are several Republicans who have not endorsed this, and many are wondering what are the consequences if the GOP, with the White House, Senate, and House, fails again?

"The administration cannot afford to have it fail, and neither can the Republicans in Congress" noted Sheets, "We're in a different situation now then we were during Trump's first administration."

The bill can only lose 3 Republican votes and still get the majority to pass.
