More and more members of Gen Z, and even many millennials, continue to reject the Democratic Party and the radical left, moving to the right. So, what’s causing this major political shift to the right?
It’s happening everywhere. Even in major cities, which have traditionally been strongholds for the left, younger Americans are starting to align themselves with movements like Make America Healthy Again and are becoming more conservative.
Political strategist Nick Lindquist says that in cities like Dallas, Austin, Houston, and even New York, ‘You’re seeing young Republican clubs pop up, you’re seeing social clubs in these cities populated with young conservative folks.’
One of the primary reasons for this is that younger Americans, who have grown up witnessing the worst the radical left has to offer, are simply getting sick of it. Lindquist said, ‘It’s becoming a more extreme version of leftism. Young, career-focused professionals trying to advance their lives aren’t going to put up with it anymore.’
Lindquist also expects this trend to continue and possibly even grow, thanks largely to how appealing this movement has become, both due to its online presence and the in-person connections it fosters.
He explained, ‘Conservatives are building an environment where you get those rich social connections that everyone’s been craving for years, and I don’t see that happening on the left anymore.’
