The U.S. Supreme Court has blocked the Trump administration from using the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal alien criminals.
The left is celebrating, but it's a temporary loss, as SCOTUS kicked it back down to an appeals court, although they did say that immigrants need more time to file challenges appealing their deportation.
President Trump has been using the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to try and expedite the deportation of illegal aliens, but this ruling by the Supreme Court is another blow to those attempts, after the court ruled against the Trump administration and their attempts to remove a group of illegals in custody in a northern region of Texas.
"To be clear, we decide today only that the detainees are entitled to more notice than was given on April 18," the Supreme Court's ruling said in a release.
