The first few months of the second Trump administration have no doubt been an exciting ride. Trump has carried out what some commentators describe as a "shock and awe" domestic policy campaign of mass deportations, executive orders, and market-rattling tariffs. All of this has resulted in panic and meltdown in the legacy media and among Democrats, who are pushing the narrative that Trump's support is crumbling and his base has buyer's remorse over all the "chaos."
But Trump voters apparently didn't get the memo. A recent CNN panel of black Trump voters found none of them regret their vote. When host Van Jones asked if they would vote for Trump again, the responses were, "Yes I would," "yes," and "1000 percent, absolutely yes!"
Those responses match recent polls which show the Trump movement expanding despite media attacks. A Fox News panel of Trump voters also echoed this sentiment. One voter said, "(Trump) put himself in a bold position, now I think it's just time for him to refine and push harder." Another said, "What I like most about Trump is that he's doing what he said he was going to do."
Fox News columnist David Marcus also blew holes in the theory that Trump supporters are abandoning him. Marcus cites dozens of Trump voters he's spoken with across multiple states, who all say they are willing to sacrifice short-term gains for the real change they voted for. Or, as one woman who voted for Trump told Fox News, "He's a businessman, he's not a politician...and I think we have to give him a chance to go forward with his plan."
