President Donald Trump held a National Day of Prayer event at the White House, where he vowed that America will always be "one nation under God", after 4 years of persecution against people of faith by the previous administration.
President Trump also signed an Executive Order establishing a presidential commission on religious liberty.
The commission will be chaired by Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who came up with the idea according to Trump.
Other members Trump said will be part of the commission include: Ben Carson, who served as housing and urban development secretary during Trump’s first term.
Pastor Paula White, who leads the White House Faith Office, Dr. Phil McGraw, Rabbi Meir Soloveichik, AG Pam Bondi, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, archbishop of New York,
Bishop Robert Barron of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, Kelly Shackelford, president and CEO of the First Liberty Institute, and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner.
