Is Trump Calling China's Bluff?

China and the U.S. continue to be locked in what looks like an all-out tariff war. The longer it goes on, the more it looks like China just doesn't know how to deal with President Trump. Frankly, he's completely different than most of his predecessors.

The biggest difference between Trump and previous presidents is Trump is actually standing up to China. That's something the National Security Analyst Ed Turzanski says they aren't used to. He said, "They've pretty much gotten to lie, cheat, and steal in terms of business, and they've been doing it for almost 4 decades now."

He went on to say that Trump is actually calling China's bluff here, and pointing out that they need to sell to us more than we need to buy from them. According to Turzanski, "The Chinese desperately need us to keep on buying. Think of it this way, if Wal-Mart closed tomorrow, China would be in a world of hurt."

He said that all of China, even their military investments, are tied to the American economy, and without the U.S. continuing to purchase Chinese goods, that will all fall apart, and they know it. Turzanski said that, "China, for all of its bluster, would be in a very bad position if suddenly there were obstacles in the American market that shut them down. They need us as their customers."
