After multiple whistleblowers came forward about illegal activities at the Texas Children's Hospital gender clinic, which they had tried to cover up for some time, the hospital is finally being investigated by the Trump Administration.
Those whistleblowers, who originally came forward during the Biden administration, wound up being targeted by that same administration, rather than having their concerns addressed.
Vanessa Sivadge, a former nurse at TCH, and founder of Protect Texas Children, spoke out about her experience with federal law enforcement after she spoke out. She said, "They threatened my safety, they threatened by career, and they said if I didn't help them they could make my live very difficult. It was a lot of very veiled language.
She was later fired by TCH after she exposed the fact that their gender clinic was illegal billing Texas Medicaid for "gender affirming care." She said, "To bill a Medicaid program for any kind of gender transition treatment has been against the law since 2015."
Sivadge later requested to be transferred to another department at Texas Children's Hospital for religious reasons, and was fired shortly after. Her termination is now being investigated for possibly violating federal laws.
She expressed gratitude for the investigation saying, "This is such a relief for some one like me. That we have an administration that's on the side of truth, instead of an administration that wages war on and prosecutes people unjustly."
