Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller has officially begun his campaign for a fourth term. He made the announcement official earlier today at an event in Montgomery, Texas.
Miller won the position the first time in 2014 and was then re-elected to a second term in 2018. He won his third consecutive term in 2022 by over a million votes.
He said he'll be even more successful during a possible fourth term due to his strong relationship with President Trump and U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. In his speech he said, "When I call the White House, they take my call. When I call the USDA, they take my call. This is a big change from the last administration, which we had to sue to get anything positive done for Texas farmers and ranchers."
Miller joins a number of other Republicans who have begun campaigns for the 2026 midterm season, including railroad commissioner Christi Craddick and former state senator Don Huffines, who have both announced campaigns for the position of state comptroller.
