University of Houston Headed to NCAA Men's Semifinals

The University of Houston has qualified for its seventh Final Four, beating Tennessee 69-50 on Sunday, so the team now heads to the semifinals.

It's the first time for the Cougars to come in at the Power 4 conference level.

Their next game is Saturday night against number one seed Duke at San Antonio's Alamodome.

Duke defeated number two seed Alabama on Saturday.

The Houston Cougars came into the Final Four in both 1967 and 1968, but as independents.

It wasn't until Houston's three-in-a-row trips from 1982-1984 that they came as a Southwest Conference member

With the Houston win, for the first time since the 2008 Men's NCAA Tournament, all four number one seeds will make up the final four -- and this is only the second time that's ever happened.
