The president was in attendance for college wrestling's biggest event of the year this weekend.

President Donald Trump watched the final rounds of the 2024-25 NCAA wrestling championships in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday. He was welcomed into the arena with more loud cheers than boos from the crowd of wrestling fans and multiple "USA! USA!" chants.

Trump was joined mat-side by Elon Musk, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Education Secretary and former WWE executive Linda McMahon, Senators Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, Dave McCormick, R-Pa., and Markwayne Mullen, R-Okla., OutKick founder Clay Travis, and several other Trump allies.

Multiple wrestlers came over to shake hands and take pictures with President Trump after their title bouts.

"I've always supported the wrestlers," Trump told reporters outside the White House Friday. "So, I want to support them. These are the great college wrestlers from the various schools."

This was the second time in three years President Trump has attended the NCAA wrestling championships. He was also at the event in 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Trump has already been to a few major sporting event this year. He became the first sitting president ever to attend a Super Bowl when he did so in early February in New Orleans. He then took in the Daytona 500 the following week, marking his second time being at the 'Great American Race.'
