Trump has really only been in office for a few months, but he's already shown that his foreign policy is a day-and-night difference from Biden's. While Trump's foreign policy can be defined by the two words "America First," Biden's foreign policy only needs one.
Harry Kazianis with 19fortyfive.com said, "I think with Biden, the one word to describe his foreign policy is 'stagnant.' He didn't do much. Nothing was really accomplished. Biden didn't really do anything on trade, and allowed a lot of these trade deficits to get worse and worse."
Meanwhile, Trump has already begun putting his "America First" foreign policy, which he's preached for 35 years, back into practice, and Americans seem to like it. Kazianis said, "Trump's foreign policy credo of making sure America is first in all instances is, I think, a very popular one. And his views have not changed."
Kazianis says Trump has also made huge steps toward removing so-called "globalist neocons" from the Republican Party, instead surrounding himself with people who share his America First credo. He said, "Trump has put foreign policy realists around him—those who see the world as it is and say, 'We don't like Vladimir Putin, but we've got to work with him.'"
He says that's why Trump has been able to make huge progress in bringing home American hostages from around the world and begin the process of making peace in both Europe and the Middle East.
