After a strong threat from president Trump's new Attorney General, Pam Bondi about protecting illegal alien criminals, California Governor Gavin Newsom is finally falling in line with Trump's immigration policies.
The big question now is, will we see other 'blue' states do the same?
"The response that various government officials at the state and local level have is going to depend on how popular they are in each locality" said Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge, now a senior fellow with the Center for Immigration Studies.
It's been less than a month since Trump has returned to office, and while many of these blue state officials are trying to talk tough, ultimately money will do the talking, as in federal funding will be taken away for cities and states that don't cooperate.
"Money talks, but there is real practical chance that states and localities are going to lose that crucial funding" Arthur told KTRH, "I think that they're going to change their tune with respect to removal very quickly."
Again, despite the false claims from the left and their partners in the mainstream media, the Trump administration is looking to remove the criminal illegal aliens.
In the meantime, as the desperate Democrats continue to resort to lawfare since their policies have been rejected, this could drag on all the way until next year's midterm elections.
"If politicians that champion sanctuary policies suffer at the ballot box in the next election, I think that there's going to be big change" noted Arthur.
Unless, we see these sanctuary polices struck down in court.
