President Donald Trump and DOGE leader Elon Musk aren't falling for the media's attempts to try and put a wedge between them.
"It's just so obvious. They're so bad at it," said Trump. "I used to think they were good at it. They're actually bad at it because if they were good at it, I'd never be president."
The two recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Fox's Sean Hannity. The full interview will air Tuesday, Feb. 18.
No stranger to public criticism, President Trump told Hannity that even though he gets "98% bad publicity," the people are backing him and Musk in their efforts to clear out the waste, fraud and corruption in D.C.
"The people are smart," Trump said. "They get it. They understand what's happening."
Some media outlets have even gone on to label the SpaceX and Tesla co-founder as "President Elon Musk."
"Actually, Elon called me — he said, you know, 'They're trying to drive us apart.' I said, ‘Absolutely.’"
