You might have noticed Democrats online suggesting that Republicans regret voting for Trump. However, the reality shows little to no voter remorse among Trump's supporters. They are, by and large, content with his performance so far.
Brian Joondeph from The American Thinker argues that Trump has effectively delivered on his campaign promises, which resonates with voters. Joondeph noted, "You may find people that quibble over really minor stuff, but the overall big picture, people are in favor of it. This is why people voted for him."
This sentiment is supported by Trump's current approval rating, which sits at 53% according to a CBS poll, one of the highest points in his political career.
Why, then, are Democrats pushing the narrative that Trump's supporters are unhappy? Joondeph believes it's a strategic move to dampen Trump's momentum. He explained, "It's anything to provide some hope to their base. What they don't want is for their base to become demoralized and join the winning side."
Joondeph sees this as the Democrats' desperate attempt to prevent their "shaky foundation from totally collapsing." He argues they'll resort to any means, including self-gaslighting and misleading Republicans, to maintain some level of support.
However, Joondeph points out that these tactics aren't taken seriously by many, and as economic indicators like inflation and prices potentially decrease, Trump's approval ratings might only climb higher.
