University of Texas police are charging a San Marcos man with illegally carrying a gun at a pro-Hamas campus on protest late last month. The arrest affidavit says 26-year-old Michael Maule is accused of not having a license to carry the weapon on the premises of a post-secondary education institution. Police reportedly spotted Maule on campus on April 29th carrying a loaded semi-automatic pistol. They confiscated the gun and two magazines of ammo and arrested Maule for trespassing. Maule is not in custody for the weapons charge.
