Active Shooter Situation In Dallas

William An, the paramedic who was shot, is critical but stable. The bullet broke the paramedic's leg, he lost a lot of blood and coded three times. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. An was rescued from the scene by Sargent Robert Watson of the Dallas Police Department. 

The alleged gunman who shot the paramedic was found dead in a home searched by DPD following the shooting. Another body was also found in the home but no additional information has been given. 

DART bus service has been re-routed. ATF Negotiator on standby at the scene.

The Dallas Police Association tweeted an active shooter alert Monday morning in East Dallas just south of I-30 near Dolphin Road. 

City of Dallas reports that there was a call about a possibly suicidal man. First responders arrived at the scene and spotted a man walking down the street with a rifle. He opened fire and an unidentified civilian and Dallas Fire & Rescue paramedic were hit. The paramedic has been transported to Baylor Hospital in critical condition and is undergoing surgery. 

Gunman still at large. Be on the lookout but do not approach a bald, black man about 5'8" and 20 0lbs, walking with a limp, wearing a black shirt with white writing and jeans. He may be armed with a rifle. 

Dolphin Road is shut down north and southbound and nearby residents are asked to stay indoors and take cover.
