Rasmussen Survey Shows Democrats Holding Six-Point Edge On Immigration

The American people laid down a mandate for deportations and immigration enforcement in 2024, and for the most part, have been unwavering in that stance. People are sick and tired of unappreciative foreigners coming into a country we built, demanding we change things to their liking, while also claiming they are above the American people. Americans are tired, and want immigration enforced.

However, because we have lived in a perpetual "safe space" for the last ten years, many Americans do not understand what immigration enforcement looks like or how it is done. Well, spoiler alert, it is never a pretty sight. Enforcing laws that people have been breaking never is a pretty thing. But because Americans have been coddled the last ten years, the images seen of immigration efforts under the Trump administration has abhorred many.

They do not like seeing force be used, they do not like seeing violence. They just want to eat the sausage but have no desire to stomach seeing how it is made. In turn, some softer Americans have gotten off the deportation train. A new survey from Rasmussen, who is historically more right-leaning, shows voters trust Democrats more than Republicans on immigration. In fact, they have a six-point advantage in the category.

Chris Russo of Texans for Strong Borders says the media sensationalizing and saturating over anything negative will immigration enforcement gives these numbers some truth.

"Traditional legacy media has gone with stories that are very emotional, and obviously very impactful for people who do not follow this closely," he says.

In short, people are gullible, soft, and unable to grasp reality. Sure, no one likes to see violence or anything of the sort, especially involving Americans. But this is how immigration enforcement works. If you do not like the idea, then you should not have voted for it.

But that is also why this kind of media propaganda and narratives succeed. People have become spoiled by safety, enclosure and all the benefits that living in America provides.

"People who are very unused to these images of real-life violence," says Russo.

Again, no one likes seeing deadly force. No one wants to have to use it, including immigration officials. But it also becomes necessary when you have idiotic illegal immigrants, who then either point a weapon at officers, or try to flee. That brings force into the mix.

The idiocy and desperation are part of it. But the left for years has been demonizing immigration enforcement, telling people to hunt down ICE agents or impede their ability to enforce the law.

"Often, force has become necessary because of the violence inspired by the left," Russo says.

When you have this level of saturation from the media, surveys like this are inevitable. The tide can always turn, and polls can be wrong. But if this is any indicator, the media propaganda is working at least one the most gullible portion of America.
