Texas Congressman Has a Warning for Republicans

A Texas US representative says Republicans have their work cut out for them in the new year, because unless their message comes across to Americans, there will be big turnover in the midterm elections next November.

Dallas-area Representative Lance Gooden points out to Fox News that only Republicans understand the reasons why the Trump administration continues to destroy boats that carry narcotics in the Caribbean, which includes the deaths of those aboard those boats.

It's not clear to many people that the sight of smugglers throwing objects off the boat once US planes provides evidence that their mission is clear: transport drugs to other nations from Venezuela, and Representative Gooden says that shows how President Trump's message isn't getting through.

That means the GOP has to work harder to help Americans understand their anti-drug, anti-terrorism message, or the constant anti-American complaints from Democrats could drive voters away.

"To see them talking about blowing up drug-smuggling terrorist boats from Venezuela as if that's some crisis when they were silent during the four years of Biden is really an empty complaint in my view.

"I'm offended by that, and I don't think the American people are taking it seriously because the American people remember when the border was open."

And we all -- even Democrats -- are aware what will happen if Democrats take Congress next November, he says.

"They'll impeach President Trump, they'll go through the entire cabinet, and they'll make a spectacle of the last two years of President Trump's administration."
